Johns Island is the largest island in the state of South Carolina and the fourth largest island on the east coast. With a population of over 20,000 Johns Island is 84 square miles.

Johns Island has a host of wildlife including deer, alligators, raccoons, coyotes, bobcats, otters and wild hogs (yep there are wild hogs on Johns Island) along with a number of bird species. Johns Island has a number of golf courses and some fantastic restaurants and we cannot forget the majestic Angel Oak, a Southern live oak tree thought to be more than 1,400 years old. In fact Johns Island has some of the most gorgeous live oaks in the area.
